I was recently elected as the new Kyodan General Secretary at the 2012 General Assembly. For the last 18 years, I have been the pastor ofTokyoYamateChurch, and ever since the Great East Japan Earthquake onMarch 11, 2011, I have been heavily involved in relief efforts in the affected areas. I want to express my deep appreciation to the churches and individuals overseas who have stood with us through their prayers and generous financial support for the relief effort. I look forward to working with our overseas brothers and sisters in the Lord to deepen our fellowship even more. (Tr. TB)

私は、第38回教団総会で教団総幹事として選出されました。私はこれまでは、東京 山手教会牧師として18年 間牧会してきました。2011年3月11 日 におきた東日本大 震 災以来、現地の教会並びに地域の救援のため、力を尽くしてきました。このた め に、海外の教会と皆様にも大きなご支援、とりわけお祈りと献金を寄せていただきましたことを、深く感謝すると共にお礼を申し上げます。今 後も教団と皆 様 との密接な交わりのほどをお願いし、ご挨拶 申し上げます。長崎哲夫総幹事
