戦後80年にあたって、平和を求める祈り
今、心を一つにして、私たちの父なる神に祈ります。
「御名が崇められますように。御国が来ますように。御心が天になるごとく、地にもなりますように。」
アジア・太平洋戦争の敗戦から80年を迎えます。神が造られ、愛された何千万人もの命が、私たちの罪によって傷つけられ、奪われたことを深く悔い改め、人類が二度とあのような過ちを犯すことがないようにと、平和の主に祈り願います。
しかしこの80年の間にも、多くの戦争・内戦が世界中であり、今も１億人を超える人が難民とされています。私たちがまことに無力であったことを悔いるものです。この現実の中で、それでも私たちは復活の主がまことの平和へと世界を導いてくださることを信じ、心を新たにして平和を祈り願います。そして、御言葉を宣べ伝え、御国を目指して歩んで行きます。また、私たち自身が、戦時中に神と人とに対して大きな罪を犯したのみならず、その後も時代と共に変わりゆくイデオロギーや歴史観に振り回されたことを悔い改めます。主の御前に立って全ての者が悔い改め、ただ主の平和に仕える者となりますように。時代は変わり人は変わりますが、神の言葉は永遠に変わることがありません。正しいお方は、十字架の主であるあなただけです。主よ、憐れんでください。
近年は日本の近海においても緊張状態が続いています。その様な中で琉球弧の島々に住む方々が担わされている過重な労苦に対して痛みを覚えます。私たちが自分の利益だけを追い求めることなく、十字架の主イエス・キリストの御前に立って、神が与えられた力と知恵とを平和の実現のために用いてまいります。
私たちは、神の子・平和の子とされた者として、御国を仰ぎつつ祈ります。
強い国家や民が、弱く小さな国家や民を力によって支配し、虐げることがありませんように。国家・民族の間にある憎しみの連鎖が断ち切られますように。困窮のただ中にある一人ひとりに、生きる力と勇気が与えられますように。そして、核の脅威が世界中から取り除かれていきますように。
平和の主イエス・キリストよ、早く来てください。
この祈りを主イエス・キリストの御名によって祈ります。 アーメン

A Prayer for Peace, on the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II
Now, with one heart, we pray to God our Father.
”Hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
It has been 80 years since Japan’s defeat in the Asia-Pacific War. We deeply repent that tens of millions of lives that God created and loved were injured and stolen by our sins, and pray to the Lord of Peace that humankind will never again make such mistakes.
But, in the past 80 years, there have been many wars and internal conflicts around the world, and more than 100 million people are still refugees today. We regret that we have been so powerless. In the midst of this reality, we continue to believe that the resurrected Lord will lead the world to true peace, and we pray for peace with renewed hearts. And we will preach the Word of God and walk toward the Kingdom. We also repent that we not only committed great sins against God and humanity during the war, but that we have subsequently been swayed by ideologies and views of history that changed with the times. May all people repent before the Lord and be servants of His peace. Times change and people change, but God’s word never changes. The only one who is righteous is you, the Lord of the cross. Lord, have mercy.
In recent years, tensions have persisted in waters around Japan. Amid this situation, we are pained by the excessive hardships that are borne by residents of the Ryukyu Islands. We will not pursue only our own interests, but will stand before the Lord Jesus Christ of the cross and use the power and wisdom that God has given us to bring about peace.
As people who were made children of God, children of peace, we look up to the Kingdom and pray:
May strong nations and peoples not use force to dominate and oppress weak and small nations and peoples. May the cycle of hatred between nations and peoples be broken. May those who are in poverty be given the strength and courage to live. And may the nuclear threat be removed from the world.
Jesus Christ, Lord of peace, come quickly.
We pray this prayer in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
